Lagos 2026 budget must serve people’s needs, drive inclusive growth – Obasa
Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has emphasized that the N4.237 trillion 2026 budget proposal must align closely with residents’ needs, addressing pressing social and economic challenges.
Obasa made the remarks on Tuesday during Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s formal presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill at the Lagos Assembly complex.
SOCIETY WATCH reports that the governor submitted a N4.237 trillion plan, dubbed the “Budget of Shared Prosperity,” ahead of lawmakers for review and approval.
The Speaker highlighted that the budget should bolster economic resilience, improve welfare, strengthen security, and facilitate sustainable infrastructure development across all communities in Lagos.
