Kano Donates N25m to Families of Slain JTF Personnel

The Kano State Government has approved the donation of N25 million to support the families of five Joint Task Force (JTF) personnel who were killed during a clash with suspected bandits in Shanono Local Government Area of the state.

The donation, according to the state government, is part of efforts to provide immediate financial relief to the bereaved families and to honour the sacrifice of the fallen security operatives who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Officials said the funds would be disbursed directly to the affected families to help cushion the economic impact of their loss, while reaffirming the government’s commitment to the welfare of security personnel and their dependants.

The incident occurred during a security operation in Shanono LGA, where JTF operatives engaged bandits in an exchange that resulted in casualties among the security forces. The attack has drawn renewed attention to the security challenges confronting parts of Kano State and neighbouring areas.

The Kano State Government expressed condolences to the families of the deceased personnel and reiterated its resolve to continue working with security agencies to strengthen operations against banditry and other criminal activities across the state.
