IShowSpeed Links Up With Jarvis in Lagos, Snubs Peller During Africa Tour

Popular American streamer and YouTuber, IShowSpeed, has sparked conversations online after linking up with Nigerian content creator Jarvis while reportedly declining a collaboration request from fellow streamer Peller.

The meeting took place in Lagos on Wednesday during IShowSpeed’s ongoing “Speed Does Africa” livestream tour. The visit was particularly memorable as the streamer, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., celebrated a major career milestone—hitting 50 million YouTube subscribers on his 21st birthday—while in Nigeria.

In videos that have since gone viral across social media platforms, IShowSpeed was seen spending time with Jarvis, who appeared in her signature robot costume, a persona that has made her one of Nigeria’s most recognizable online creators. During the hangout, Jarvis taught the American streamer the signature dance to the hit song “Money Constant,” drawing excitement from fans both locally and internationally.

However, the collaboration drew further attention after reports emerged that IShowSpeed snubbed Peller, another Nigerian content creator, despite public pleas for a joint appearance. Clips circulating online show Peller expressing interest in collaborating with the visiting streamer, but the request was reportedly ignored, fueling debates among fans and followers.

The moment has since ignited discussions on social media, with some praising IShowSpeed’s interaction with Jarvis as a celebration of Nigerian creativity, while others questioned his decision to bypass other creators seeking similar exposure.

IShowSpeed’s Africa tour continues to attract massive attention, reinforcing his global influence and the growing international spotlight on African digital creators.
