“Is MI Abaga A Joke” Uproar As Wizkid Declares Rap Music As Dead And Boring

Mixed reactions has trailed Afrobeats singer, Wizkid’s opinion on rap music in Nigeria.

In a recent interview, the award-winning singer declares the genre of music dead and boring.

The father of four said that he doesn’t listen to rap music because it’s “dead and boring”.

He added that rappers always follow the same method, and rap on the same beats and the same flow.

Wizkid made this known during an interview with 10 magazine, he said,

“Afrobeats is the new pop. I said two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record. If I’m being honest. I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.

I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows”.

His comment on the rap industry, didn’t sit well with many as they dragged him for it.

Wizkid’s message to his colleagues

Just few days back, Wizkid had sent a message to his colleagues in the industry.

Taking to his Snapchat account, Wizkid told them to start addressing him as sir or daddy.

Bragging, Wizkid stated that he can stop touching the mic and yet, no one would be able to touch his wealth.

In what seemed like a shade to Davido, he added that even if they ask their dad or mum for help, it would amount to his wealth.

Wizkid promised to open to class for artists to come learn how to get all they deserve with less work and smart business choices.

“I can stop touching the mic today and y’all lil niggas still can’t touch the wealth! Even if u ask ur dad and mom for ur help.

Also soon, I’ll open a class for u niggas to come learn how to get all you deserve with less work and smart business choices.

On his Instagram story, he wrote,
