Intergrity still pays – Ex-SGF Boss Mustapha tells leaders

The immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, says integrity still pays, and enjoined Nigerians, especially people in leadership positions, to be upright in their actions.

Mustapha spoke at the weekend in Mombol, Adamawa State, during a ceremony to honour an official of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Comptroller Haniel Hadison.

He noted that commitment to duty helps national development and attracts personal honour.

The ex-SGF, who spoke as chairman of the grand civic reception in honour of Haniel Hadison, who has been promoted to the rank of Comptroller of Customs and is currently the Controler of Special Duties at the NCS headquarters, said the celebrant had long been known for diligent service offered without noise.

“It gladens my heart that we still recognise the value of honouring integrity at a time the world chooses to reward money and empty noise. This honour for Hadison tells us that sincere hard work has its reward,” he said.

In a message to the occasion, the Controler General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi said Hadison is indeed a patriotic officer whose impact is deeply felt by the NCS.

Earlier in a welcome address by the Central Planning Committee of the reception for Haniel Hadison, chairman of the committee, Rev Simon Yohanna (rtd), said Hadison had been a campaigner of unity for Mombol and s pillar of support for widows, the elderly and students whom he helps with palliatives and with scholarships.

In his own remark, Hadison said he is a proud son of Mombol and happy that the community decided to honour him.

“I dedicate the recognition to collective efforts to develop our community. I urge all of us to come together with greater unity for the sake of all our people,” Hadison said.
