INEC’s ‘technical glitches’ has given Nigeria ‘vacation’ President – Dalung

Former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s departure to Europe for a working vacation.
Dalung described Tinubu as a “vacation president” produced by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s, INEC, “technical glitches.”
Societywatch reported that the Presidency had announced that Tinubu departed Abuja on September 4 to begin a 10-day working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.
According to a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu will spend the period between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
In a post on X on Thursday, Dalung said the outcome of the 2023 elections had left the country with a leader who prioritises leisure while Nigerians face worsening insecurity.
“This is the tragic outcome of INEC’s so-called technical glitches — a conspiracy that has produced a vacation president whose idea of a social contract with Nigerians is sheer entitlement.
