‘Immortalise Yekini’

The Kwara State House of Assembly has called on the Kwara State Government to immortalise the late Rashidi Yekini.
The Assembly, which was presided over by the Deputy Speaker Matthew Okedare on Tuesday, said immortalising the 1993 African Footballer of the Year would acknowledge his contribution to sports development in Nigeria. The Assembly noted that Yekini during his lifetime and active sport days had projected the image of the country positively to the outside world through football.
