”I’m A Real Yoruba Man” – Asake Responds To Requests For Him To Sing Songs In English
2 min readIn a recent live video, Asake addressed some concerns with regards to why he sings songs only in Yoruba language
He made some clarifications about the question, stating that he’s more comfortable singing in Yoruba language than English, but every once in a while, he sprinkles a little bit of English in his songs.
Asake also went on to say that singing in English isn’t meant for him, and that he can’t change who he is, which is being a real Yoruba man.
