The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has said that he is not an achiever, adding that he does not have any story of his own to tell, but rather his story is his salvation.

Speaking on Friday at the church service to mark his 70th birthday, Bishop Oyedepo said he is just a microphone with the voice of the Almighty behind it.

“I also watch the story of my life like every other person does. His story is my story, The treasure is packaged there. I am not an achiever, I am just a partaker of the manifold grace of God,” he told the people gathered to celebrate with him.

According to him, he is not an icon, but only represents the Icon of Icons, the Almighty God, who he said, is worthy of every praise. “I give him glory. This is my story. We talk about ‘engracement’ in the kingdom, we don’t talk about achievement. I am just a beneficiary of His grace like others.

“Every marvellous thing in a believer’s life is the Lord’s doing. I do not have any power to generate signs and wonders. I watch my life on screen like others. I am here to tell the story of what God’s election has done in my life.

“I ascribe glory to Him who has kept me alive in the faith. I am a wonder to my world because God is my strong refuge,” he explained.

The birthday celebrations which started on Monday will end on Sunday, October 29, with a thanksgiving at the church’s headquarters in Canaan land, Ota.

Meanwhile people have continued to pour encomiums on the bishop for touching their lives and for being a man of positive impacts.
