Gunmen Kill Soldiers, Others In Anambra
1 min readPUNCH Metro reports that some unidentified assailants have caused serious stir in Anambra State.
The assailants attacked a security patrol near the Nkwo Market at Umunze in Orumba South Local Government of Anambra State on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the security officers were on patrol when they were attacked by gunmen.
During the attack, a yet-to-be-disclosed number of soldiers and civilians were killed.

Although, an eyewitness disclosed to journalists that five soldiers and two civilians were killed in the incident.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident.
Ikenga, who did not confirm the casualty figures, said there were shootings close to a new generation bank in Umunze.
He stated that the details had not been received, adding that the incident happened between 12-1.30pm.
He said the command had deployed security operatives to secure the area, adding that those responsible for such actions would be dealt with.
