Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Nollywood actress Nkeiruka Silvanus has a strong bond that binds them together: the more the news of their separation swirls around the more united they become.
Few months back, speculations abound that the two friends have parted ways owing to some untold reasons. As soon as the rumour of their perceived distorted relationships hits town, some of Nkeiru’s cynics jumped up in great hysteria celebrating her downfall eventhough there were claims that their relationship is just platonic. But now, those celebrating her downfall will now have to cover their eyes in shame as Nkeiru has regained her groove with the governor.
‘Society People’ gathered that the governor recently appointed the actress as the Director General of The Imo State Film Academy(IFACA), and she is about to resume duty.
Her appointment came following plans by the Imo Governor to set up a befitting Film Academy in Owerri, the state’s capital which is hoped to be beneficial not only to Imo state Indigenes, but Nigerians at large.
November 14, 2014 has now been picked for the official opening of the academy and according to information, the event is expected to attract many masters of the arts including top government functionary who will be on ground to witness the epoch-making event.
Ms Silvanus was the SA Lagos Affairs, then SA Public Affairs to the Imo state government, and it’s a new dawn for the youths she’ll be expected to bring her previous magic touches and her wealth of experience as a movie expert to further transform the state’s movie industry and Nigeria in general.
The actress who recently premiered her high definition Thriller/Adventure film ‘The Voice”, in Lagos says the academy is created to open up training in different categories like Photography, Acting, Cinematography, Directing, Voice-over Voice Training, Script Writing, Costume Make Up, Set/Prop, Lightning, Continuity Screenplay, Video Editing e.t.c
