Go After Bandits, Criminals in South-West – COAS Charges Troops
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, has charged troops of the 2 Division, Nigerian Army, to intensify their operations and decisively flush out bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements operating within the South-West region.
The Army Chief gave the directive while addressing officers and soldiers, urging them to remain professional, vigilant, and committed to safeguarding lives and property within their area of responsibility. He emphasized the need for sustained offensives and improved collaboration with other security agencies to restore peace and stability across the region.
- Lt.-Gen. Shaibu also commended the troops for their sacrifices and dedication but stressed that more efforts were required to completely dismantle criminal networks threatening security in the zone.
