Fire Guts LG Electronics Store in Lagos, Destroys Goods Worth Millions
1 min readA fire has engulfed the store of global electronics maker LG at Abule Osun, Trade Fair, Lagos State, destroying goods worth millions of naira.
The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday, with the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency receiving distress calls at 12:15 am. Fire officials arrived 25 minutes later to extinguish the blaze, which had consumed items worth millions of naira.
The agency’s Head of Public Affairs Unit, Nosa Okunbor, stated that the fire affected equipment, small forklifts, household goods, and gadgets, including TVs, refrigerators, and air conditioners. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The statement added that the fire has been contained in collaboration with other emergency responders, including the Lagos State Fire & Rescue Service, the Federal Fire Service, and other primary responders.
The joint response team is still actively engaged in combating the fire, which has severely damaged the major warehouse.
However, the fire has been prevented from spreading to adjacent structures, including other warehouses, a gas station, diesel tankers, expatriate quarters, and other adjoining buildings.
