FG Donates 6,000 Tonnes Of Food Items, 2,000 Water Pumps To Borno Flood Victims
1 min readIn a bid to alleviate the suffering of flood victims in Borno State, the Federal Government has donated 6,000 tonnes of assorted food items and 2,000 water pumps to the state government.
Agriculture Minister Abubakar Kyari confirmed the donation, saying, “President Bola Tinubu has given me his approval and directive to deliver 6,000 tonnes of assorted food items to the Borno State Government.”
The food items include 100 trailers of milled rice, 50 trailers of maize, 30 trailers of sorghum, and 20 trailers of millet.

In addition, President Tinubu’s son, Seyi, has mobilised 50 medical personnel to provide medical support services to the victims.
Seyi Tinubu said, “They are already on the ground, and they will remain with you for the next few days to help stabilise the situation.”
Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, appreciated the show of love and support, assuring judicious utilisation of the support for maximum impact on the beneficiaries.
The donations come after President Tinubu’s visit to Maiduguri to commiserate with the government and people of the state on the flood tragedy.
