Fake Admission Scandal: Jamb Exposes 21 Candidates With Forged Results
1 min readThe Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has uncovered a shocking admission scandal involving 21 candidates who presented fake IJMB results for the 2023 admission exercise.
The board revealed that 12 of the candidates were recommended by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
According to JAMB, the fake results were discovered during the 2023 admission process, and the affected candidates were not approved. The board noted that the recommendations were possible because certificate screening was done after registration.

JAMB insisted that all certificates must have the signature of the Head of the institution (VC/Provost/Rector). The board also stated that it had become necessary to take appropriate action to prevent unscrupulous individuals from undermining the education sector.
In a bulletin, JAMB said: “These proactive measures, as well as others in the pipeline, are to ensure that the gains recorded in the education sector, especially the examination sub-sector over the years, are not eroded by unscrupulous individuals who do not mean well for Nigeria.”
