Police in Norway have launched an investigation after an explosion rocked the United States embassy in Oslo early Sunday.
Authorities said the blast occurred near the consular section of the embassy, causing minor damage to parts of the building.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, while security officials cordoned off the area as investigators began examining the cause of the explosion.
According to initial reports, no injuries were recorded in the incident.
Norwegian police said they are working to determine whether the explosion was accidental or the result of a deliberate act.
Officials have also increased security around the embassy and surrounding areas as the investigation continues.
The United States embassy has yet to release a detailed statement regarding the incident.
