Emir Of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Completes Ph.D At London Varsity

Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has been awarded a Doctorate degree after successfully completing his Viva Voce.

Viva Voce, which is a very important part of the PhD process in many academic institutions, is an examination conducted by speech or assessment in which a student’s response to the assessment task is verbal, in the sense of being expressed or conveyed by speech instead of writing.

According to reports, his PhD Thesis was approved as submitted with no amendments or corrections required.

This was seen in a post shared on Facebook by Voice of Sokoto, on Wednesday, August 21.

The caption reads: “In a remarkable academic achievement, His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, has been awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy.

“The Emir successfully completed his Viva Voce on the topic ‘Codification of Islamic Family Law as an Instrument of Social Reform: A Case Study of the Emirate of Kano and Comparison with the Kingdom of Morocco’.

“The PhD was approved as submitted, with no amendments or corrections required.

“This notable accomplishment highlights the Emir’s commitment to both his scholarly pursuits and his role as a traditional leader.

“Congratulations to His Royal Highness on this distinguished academic milestone.”
