Edo Is Not Lagos, You Can’t Steal Vote Here– Atiku Warns APC
1 min readFormer Vice President Atiku Abubakar has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) against attempting to manipulate the upcoming governorship election in Edo State.
Atiku, who was in Edo State to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, emphasized that the state will not tolerate electoral fraud.
Atiku declared, “Edo State is not like Lagos, where the APC can orchestrate electoral fraud. We showed them four years ago that Edo State won’t be rigged, and we’ll show them again. Protect your votes, defend them, and escort them. Make sure your votes are entered and results announced. No Jupiter will come and change your votes.”

This statement comes as Edo State prepares for the governorship election on September 21.
The major candidates include Asue Ighodalo (PDP), Monday Okpebholo (APC), and Olumide Akpata (Labour Party).
Atiku’s warning is a clear message to the APC to respect the democratic process and allow the people of Edo State to choose their next governor without interference.
The former VP’s emphasis on protecting votes and preventing rigging is a call to action for the citizens of Edo State to ensure their voices are heard.
