Despite Deleting A Tweet Condemning Deborah’s Killing, Atiku Still Vows To Unite Nigeria – Dele Farotimi

1 min read

A chieftain of Peter Obi’s PCC, Dele Farotimi, has tackled the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, over his promise to unite the country. Speaking on AIT News, Farotimi noted that the PDP presidential candidate could have made good on his promise by letting the PDP ticket shift to the south.

Addressing the topic, Farotimi said, “Atiku often talks about uniting Nigeria.” A man who had been the vice president of this country could not even own a tweet condemning the mob killing of an innocent girl, Deborah. He deleted the tweet about Deborah but talks about having a sense of unity.

He continued, “The same sense of unity did not make Atiku realize that he should cede the PDP presidential ticket to the south.” You should spare me such rhetoric.

You may recall that Atiku is often referred to as “the unifier” by most of his party chieftains. The PDP presidential candidate has often spoken about marrying women from diverse ethnic groups across the country.
