Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price to N1,175/Litre as Crude Spikes

The Dangote Refinery has increased the price of petrol to N1,175 per litre following a surge in global crude oil prices.

The adjustment comes shortly after a recent price reduction, with market analysts attributing the new hike to rising crude costs and volatility in the international oil market.

Industry sources said the refinery reviewed its gantry price to reflect prevailing market conditions and operational costs. The development is expected to influence pump prices across filling stations nationwide.

Experts warn that the increase may further strain household budgets and raise transportation and business costs, potentially adding pressure to Nigeria’s inflation rate.

The Dangote Refinery, one of Africa’s largest refining facilities, has become a major supplier of petrol in Nigeria, playing a growing role in shaping the country’s downstream petroleum market.
