Benue insecurity: Trader, housewife, Okada rider killed by suspected herdsmen

Three people have been reportedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen while returning from Jato-Aka Market at Mshen community of Nyihemba in Mbaikyor Ward of Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.
Money and goods belonging to the victims were carted away by the suspected Fulani bandits.
An eyewitness, who is the youth leader of the ward, Igbawua Gandepun, said the attack occurred just a kilometre away from the army camp stationed at Government Secondary School, Anwase.
He said angry youths of the community, in protest, took the bodies of the victims to the military camp, alleging their failure to protect the victims.
According to him: “Two victims, a housewife and a petty female trader, Andeh Aondover, as well as a motorcycle rider, Boki Tyodzua, were ambushed and killed by herders. The herders removed all the money on Tyodzua and carted away all items bought by Andeh after killing them.”
He lamented that farmers in the area were yet to begin clearing their farmlands because those who attempted to do so were killed by herdsmen, with no one having seen their corpses to date.
