Arsenal forward set to leave the club already as annoyance at Wenger grows

1 min read

Arsenal’s Lucas Perez could be set to quit the club already, after failing to nail down a first team spot under Arsene Wenger.

The forward has become frustrated by what he sees as a lack of chances to prove his worth – and then if he does score, being dropped back to the bench soon after.

Given the turmoil Arsenal are currently in, and the uncertainty over the future of Alexis Sanchez, it may well be in the Gunners’ interest to keep Perez sweet, especially given he has proven he can score goals when given a couple of chances.

The main motivation for Perez seems to be the fact he wants to play in the 2018 world cup for Spain, and knows that without first team football, his chances of even making the squad are slim.

Mass summer exits?

At this stage, it looks like there could well be a great deal of movement in terms of players leaving and coming in at Arsenal come the summer.

Of course, quite if Arsene Wenger is still at the club by then remains to be seen, with the fans making their feelings very clear – but the board and the majority of the players still appearing to back Wenger as their manager.
