Anthony Joshua has been told to retire from boxing following his fifth-round knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois on Saturday.

Recall that Dubois defeated Joshua on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in London to retain his IBF heavyweight title.

The 27-year-old produced a stunning performance in front of a sellout crowd of 96,000 people as he finished Joshua off in the fifth round with a right to the chin.

However, when asked if there is any way back for Joshua, Ricky Hatton, a former two-weight world champion, said at ringside: “I don’t know, I think he’ll stay with his camp and have a talk and everything like that. Maybe not.

“Personally, as a friend, I would like to see him retire.

“He’s been a two-time world champion, he’s had a fantastic night here, 96,000 against a fellow Brit, I don’t want to see him get hurt again.”
