Anambra Approves ₦604m for Key Projects, Finalises Plans for Soludo’s Swearing-In
The Anambra State Government has approved the sum of ₦604 million for key road and infrastructural projects across the state, as preparations intensify for the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
The approval was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting, where officials reviewed ongoing development efforts and mapped out priority interventions in critical sectors.
According to a statement from the government, the funds will be deployed toward strategic road rehabilitation and other infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving connectivity and stimulating economic activities in various communities. The projects are expected to address deteriorating road networks and enhance access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Officials said the investment reflects the administration’s continued commitment to infrastructure-led development, noting that improved road networks remain central to the state’s urban renewal and economic transformation agenda.
Meanwhile, the government confirmed that arrangements have been concluded for the swearing-in ceremony of Governor Soludo. A planning committee has reportedly finalized logistics, security, and guest coordination to ensure a smooth and dignified event.
The ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries from across the country, including political leaders, traditional rulers, business stakeholders, and civil society representatives. Security agencies have also been placed on alert to maintain order before, during, and after the event.
Government sources indicated that the upcoming inauguration will serve not only as a constitutional event but also as an opportunity to outline the administration’s policy direction for the next phase of governance in the state.
Residents and stakeholders have expressed optimism that the newly approved projects, alongside the renewed mandate of the governor, will accelerate development and consolidate ongoing reforms across Anambra State.
