Ministry Trains Oyo Farmers to Boost Dairy Production

The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has trained 100 dairy farmers in Oyo State as part of efforts to increase dairy production and improve livestock development in the country.

Officials said the programme focused on modern dairy farming techniques, animal health management, milk production, and sustainable farming practices.

Participants were also provided with essential inputs and support aimed at improving productivity and strengthening the local dairy value chain.

The ministry noted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance food security, create jobs, and reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported dairy products.

Farmers who took part in the training expressed optimism that the new skills and resources would help improve their businesses and increase milk output.
