UN: Iran Executes 21, Arrests Over 4,000 Since War Began

The United Nations has raised alarm over a surge in human rights violations in Iran, revealing that at least 21 people have been executed and more than 4,000 arrested since the start of the Middle East conflict.

According to the UN’s human rights office, the executions include individuals linked to recent protests, alleged opposition group members, and those accused of espionage.

The report also highlighted that thousands of arrests were carried out on national security grounds, with many detainees reportedly subjected to torture, forced confessions, and other forms of inhumane treatment.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, condemned the situation, calling for an immediate halt to executions and the release of arbitrarily detained individuals, while urging Iran to uphold fair trial standards.

The development has intensified global concerns over human rights conditions in Iran, especially amid the ongoing regional tensions and conflict.
