Ajimobi Was Like a Father to Me, Says Adelabu
Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has paid glowing tribute to the late former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, describing him as a father figure whose guidance and mentorship profoundly shaped his political journey.
Adelabu made the remarks alongside other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State during activities commemorating Ajimobi’s legacy, praising the former governor for his visionary leadership and enduring contributions to the state’s development.
According to the minister, Ajimobi’s commitment to good governance, discipline, and party unity laid a solid foundation for progress in Oyo State and inspired many younger politicians.
He noted that the late governor’s influence extended beyond politics, describing him as a leader who nurtured talent, encouraged excellence, and remained committed to the growth of those around him.
Other APC stakeholders also reflected on Ajimobi’s achievements in office, highlighting his role in infrastructure development, public sector reforms, and strengthening the party in the state.
They urged current political leaders to uphold the values of integrity, service, and visionary leadership that Ajimobi represented throughout his public life.
