NDLEA Arrests Doctor, Ivorian Over Cocaine Trafficking

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a Nigerian doctor and an Ivorian national over alleged involvement in cocaine trafficking.

According to the agency, one of the suspects was apprehended after being found with 82 wraps of cocaine concealed in his body, following a surveillance operation.

The NDLEA said the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks and curb the movement of illicit substances across borders.

Preliminary investigations indicate that both suspects may be linked to a wider drug distribution syndicate, with authorities working to uncover additional collaborators.

The agency noted that the use of ingestion methods highlights the evolving tactics employed by traffickers to evade detection.

Officials reiterated their commitment to intensifying operations and ensuring that those involved in drug-related crimes are brought to justice.

The suspects are expected to face prosecution upon the conclusion of investigations.

The development underscores the NDLEA’s continued crackdown on drug trafficking and its resolve to combat narcotics-related offences nationwide.
