Enough of Condolences” — Natasha Demands Action After Plateau Killings

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has strongly condemned the recent wave of killings in Plateau State, calling for urgent and decisive action from the nation’s security chiefs.

Reacting to the incidents, the lawmaker expressed deep concern over the continued loss of lives, stressing that repeated condolences from authorities are no longer sufficient in addressing the security crisis.

“Enough of condolences,” she said, urging security agencies to move beyond statements and deliver concrete results that will restore confidence among citizens.

The senator emphasized the need for proactive measures, intelligence-driven operations, and accountability within the security architecture to prevent further attacks on vulnerable communities.

The recent violence in parts of Plateau State has sparked nationwide outrage, with calls from various stakeholders for the Federal Government to intensify efforts to curb insecurity.

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan also urged the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reassess current security strategies and ensure that those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice.

Security agencies are yet to release a detailed report on the latest incidents, but deployments have reportedly been increased in affected areas to prevent further escalation.

Observers say the senator’s remarks reflect growing frustration among Nigerians, who are demanding more effective action to address persistent insecurity across the country.
