Abiodun Says Ogun Near ‘El Dorado’, Compares Growth with Lagos
Abeokuta, Nigeria — Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has described the state as being close to an “El Dorado,” citing rapid economic growth and development across key sectors.
Speaking on the state’s progress, Abiodun said Ogun State has witnessed significant transformation, making it one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. He noted that the level of development now places Ogun in a position comparable to Lagos State, widely regarded as Nigeria’s commercial hub.
The governor attributed the growth to increased investments, improved infrastructure, and business-friendly policies implemented by his administration. He also highlighted the influx of industries and expansion of industrial clusters as key drivers of economic advancement.
Abiodun emphasized that Ogun’s strategic location and proximity to Lagos have further boosted its appeal to investors, contributing to job creation and economic expansion.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining the momentum by continuing to invest in infrastructure, security, and policies that promote ease of doing business.
The remarks underscore growing confidence in Ogun State’s economic potential as it positions itself as a major industrial and commercial destination in Nigeria.
