National Police Day: Gombe Command Rolls Out Medical Outreach, Sanitation Programmes

Gombe, Nigeria — The Nigeria Police Force, Gombe State Command, has unveiled a series of activities to mark the 2026 National Police Day, aimed at strengthening community relations and improving public trust.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Umar Chuso, announced that the programmes will include free medical outreach services, environmental sanitation exercises, and other community-focused initiatives across the state.

 

According to the police chief, the activities are designed to bring officers closer to the people, promote public health, and demonstrate the Force’s commitment to service beyond law enforcement duties.

 

He emphasized the importance of building stronger partnerships between the police and the public, noting that effective policing depends on mutual trust, cooperation, and community engagement.

 

Residents are encouraged to participate in the programmes, which will be held in various locations across Gombe State as part of the nationwide celebration of National Police Day.

 

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to improve its image and foster better relationships with communities through service-oriented programmes.
