Police Nab Shop Burglary Syndicate in A’Ibom, Recover Firearm
Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested four suspected members of a shop burglary syndicate in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State.
Police authorities said the suspects were apprehended during an operation aimed at dismantling criminal groups responsible for breaking into shops and stealing valuables across the city.
Items recovered from the suspects include a firearm, stolen generators and other valuables believed to have been taken during previous burglary operations.
According to the police, the arrests followed credible intelligence and surveillance that led officers to the suspects’ hideout.
The command stated that investigations are ongoing to track down other members of the syndicate, while the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
