African Democratic Congress Condemns Maiduguri Bomb Blasts, Urges Action from Bola Tinubu
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly condemned the recent bomb blasts in Maiduguri, Borno State, describing the attacks as tragic and unacceptable.
In a statement, the opposition party expressed concern over the worsening security situation in parts of Nigeria and called for urgent action to address the growing threat of terrorism and violence.
The ADC urged Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, to immediately return and personally oversee efforts to tackle what it described as a deepening national security crisis.
According to the party, the deadly explosions highlight the need for stronger security strategies, improved intelligence gathering, and greater support for security agencies tasked with protecting lives and property.
The party also extended condolences to families of victims affected by the attacks and called on the federal government to intensify measures to prevent further violence in the region.
ADC stressed that restoring safety and stability must remain a top priority for the government, particularly in the North-East where communities have long faced insurgency-related threats.
Security agencies have continued operations in and around Maiduguri following the incident as authorities work to prevent additional attacks and maintain order in the area.
