Nigerien, Two Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Edo

The Edo State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers, including a Nigerien national, during separate security operations in the state.

According to the police, the suspects were apprehended following intelligence-led operations carried out by security operatives targeting criminal groups involved in kidnapping activities.

During the operations, another suspected kidnapper was reportedly neutralised after a confrontation with security personnel.

Police authorities said the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to tackle kidnapping and other violent crimes in Edo State.

The command added that investigations are ongoing to uncover the suspects’ network and identify other possible accomplices.

Security officials also reassured residents that measures are being intensified to improve safety and curb criminal activities across the state.
