South Africa Name Squad for NCF T20i Tournament
Cricket South Africa has unveiled the South Africa Under-19 women’s squad set to compete in the upcoming NCF T20i tournament in Nigeria, as part of preparations for the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The tour is expected to provide the young Proteas with valuable international exposure and competitive match practice ahead of the global showpiece. The NCF T20i tournament, organised by the Nigeria Cricket Federation, will see South Africa face emerging talents from across the region.
Selectors said the squad blends experienced youth internationals with promising new prospects who have impressed in domestic competitions. Team management believes the tournament will test the players’ adaptability to different playing conditions while strengthening team cohesion.
Head coaches emphasised that the competition forms a key phase of their World Cup build-up, offering an opportunity to fine-tune strategies, assess combinations, and build mental resilience under match pressure.
