Lagos Extends Bursary, Scholarship Registration Deadline to Friday
The Lagos State Government has extended the registration deadline for its 2025/2026 bursary and scholarship programmes to Friday, giving eligible students additional time to complete their applications.
The Lagos State Scholarship Board announced the extension in a statement, explaining that the decision was made to accommodate students who experienced challenges during the initial application period.
According to the board, the bursary and scholarship schemes are part of the state government’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and easing the financial burden on students of Lagos origin in tertiary institutions across Nigeria and abroad.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the official scholarship portal to complete registration, upload required documents and ensure all information provided meets eligibility requirements before the new closing date.
The board also advised students to avoid third-party agents and rely only on official communication channels to prevent fraud during the application process.
Education stakeholders have welcomed the extension, noting that it will allow more qualified students to benefit from the programme and promote access to higher education in the state.
The Lagos State Government reaffirmed its commitment to investing in human capital development through sustained educational support initiatives.
