At least 11 people have been killed and 20 others wounded following Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
The ministry said the casualties included displaced civilians who were sheltering in a tent when it was hit. Several of the injured were reported to be in critical condition, raising fears that the death toll could rise.
The strikes are the latest in ongoing hostilities that have devastated large parts of Gaza and forced thousands of residents from their homes. Many displaced families have been living in makeshift shelters and tents amid shortages of food, medical supplies, and basic services.
Israeli authorities have not immediately commented on the specific strikes, but Israel has maintained that its military operations are aimed at militant targets. Palestinian officials and humanitarian groups, however, continue to raise concerns over the impact of the attacks on civilians.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, with international organisations repeatedly calling for restraint, protection of civilians, and increased humanitarian access as fighting contin6ues.
