I Want to Be Girls’ Role Model – Oluremi Tinubu
The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated her commitment to inspiring and empowering young girls across the country, stating that she hopes to serve as a role model for the younger generation.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady emphasized the importance of providing safe spaces where girls can develop confidence, acquire skills, and pursue their aspirations without limitations. She noted that many young girls face social and economic barriers that hinder their growth, stressing the need for intentional efforts to guide and support them.
“I want to be a role model for our girls,” Mrs. Tinubu said. “They must know that their dreams are valid and achievable if they remain focused, disciplined, and determined.”
She described the Dream Centre as a platform that will encourage creativity, innovation, and mentorship, adding that education and character development remain key tools for nation-building.
The Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, alongside other dignitaries present at the ceremony, commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that aligns with the university’s commitment to youth development and societal impact.
The inauguration of the Dream Centre forms part of broader efforts by the First Lady to promote girl-child education, women empowerment, and youth development across Nigeria.
