Early morning fire destroys properties worth millions of naira in Ogbomoso hotel
Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed as a result of fire incident that occurred in one of the hotels in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
SOCIETY WATCH reports that the incident occured at Omowumi Hotel located in the Sawmill area.
It was learnt that that the fire started in the early hours of Saturday.
Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident in a statement made available to SOCIETY WATCH on Saturday.
Akinwande noted that no life was lost in the inferno.
He said, “On getting there, it was a boys quarter apartment inside the hotel engulfed by fire.
“Our officers swung into action and prevented the fire from spreading to the main hotel building and surrounding properties. The operation was carried out successfully.
