Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has acknowledged Morocco’s home advantage ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final clash, but insists Nigeria have the quality and belief to reach the final of the tournament.
Speaking in a video interview, Osimhen said playing against the host nation would be challenging due to crowd support and familiarity with conditions, but stressed that the Super Eagles remain focused and confident.
“Morocco have the home advantage, no doubt about that, but we believe in ourselves,” Osimhen said. “We have the talent, the fighting spirit, and the unity to go all the way to the final.”
The Napoli forward praised the team’s preparation and mentality, noting that Nigeria have grown stronger as the tournament has progressed. He added that the players are determined to give their best for the country and make Nigerians proud.
Osimhen also urged fans to continue supporting the team, saying their encouragement has been a major source of motivation throughout the competition.
Nigeria will face Morocco in a highly anticipated semi-final, with a place in the AFCON final at stake, as the Super Eagles aim to overcome the hosts and keep their title hopes alive.
