Morocco secured a place in the AFCON 2025 semifinals after recording a convincing 2–0 victory over Cameroon, thanks to goals from Brahim Diaz and Ismael Saibari.

The Atlas Lions dominated proceedings from the opening minutes, controlling possession and pressing aggressively against a resilient Cameroonian side. Their dominance paid off when Brahim Diaz opened the scoring, calmly finishing after a well-worked attacking move.

Cameroon pushed for an equaliser in the second half, creating a few half-chances, but Morocco’s defence remained solid and well organised. Ismael Saibari later sealed the victory with a decisive second goal, extinguishing any hopes of a comeback for the Indomitable Lions.

The win highlights Morocco’s strong form in the tournament as they continue their quest for continental glory. Head coach Walid Regragui praised his players’ discipline and composure, noting that focus would now shift to preparing for the semifinals.

Morocco will now await the outcome of the remaining quarterfinal fixtures to know their next opponents, while Cameroon exit the competition after a hard-fought campaign.
