Remi Tinubu Gives N50m Grant to 1,000 Ogun Women

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has disbursed a ₦50 million grant to 1,000 women in Ogun State to support small-scale businesses and promote women’s economic empowerment.

The grant distribution was carried out under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), a programme aimed at improving the livelihoods of women across the country through financial inclusion, skills development and business support.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady said the initiative was designed to help women grow their businesses, become financially independent and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic development. She urged beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly to expand their enterprises and improve their families’ welfare.

Representatives of the Ogun State Government commended the First Lady for the intervention, describing it as a timely boost for women entrepreneurs, especially at a time of economic challenges. They reaffirmed the state’s commitment to supporting programmes that empower women and vulnerable groups.

Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the grant, noting that the funds would help them scale up their businesses, restock goods and increase productivity.

The Renewed Hope Initiative continues to be implemented across states, focusing on women empowerment, social welfare and sustainable development in line with the federal government’s broader economic agenda.
