Tinubu yet to diagnose Nigerian economy’s ailment – Ex-Presidential candidate, Adebayo

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 election, Prince Adewole Adebayo has said that President Bola Tinubu having inherited a poorly managed economy from the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has not been able to identify the real problem ailing the economy.

He liked the economy Tinubu inherited from Buhari to an emergency room patient, whose condition has only been stabilised but the real ailment has not been found by the doctors.
He noted that Tinubu has only managed to stabilise the economy from the emergency room situation but he has not been able to identify the country’s ailment.
In this interview he spoke on a wide range of issues, including Tinubu’s tax drive, his level of involvement in Buhari’s administration, how he would have handled the tax reform if we’re to the President and Atiku Abubakar’s warning of impending revolution if nothing is done urgently to arrest the hunger in the land among other issues. Recently, a former Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, was quoted to have said at a public lecture that President Bola Tinubu inherited a dead baby in the form of economy from the previous administration under the late President Muhammadu Buhari. What do you make of that?
Well, it’s obvious that the economy President Buhari left was a poorly managed economy. It is like an emergency room patient. As an emergency room patient, your road to recovery depends on a good diagnosis by the doctor.
