NAFDAC Uncovers Warehouse Stocked With Expired, Unregistered Goods In Lagos
1 min readThe National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raided a warehouse in Oke-Afa, Okota, Lagos, where it uncovered a large quantity of expired and unregistered supermarket items, some of which had been contaminated by rats due to poor storage conditions.
The raid, which occurred after a tip-off, led to the seizure of various products, including carbonated drinks that had been offloaded from a 20ft container.
In a statement issued by the agency on Wednesday, NAFDAC revealed that upon further inspection, over 14 rooms in the facility were found to be stocked with unregistered and expired goods.
