Kaduna Raises Minimum Wage To N72,000 For Civil Servants
1 min readKaduna State Governor Uba Sani has announced the approval of a new minimum wage of N72,000 for civil servants, effective November 2024.
In a statement from the Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, the governor emphasized his commitment to promoting workers’ rights.
“The decision is in line with the advancement of the interests of workers and improvement in the living conditions of the poor, vulnerable, and underserved in Kaduna State,” the statement read.

Additionally, Sani will launch a free transportation scheme for civil servants, featuring 100 CNG buses to alleviate their transportation costs.
A Joint Management Committee will be established to oversee this initiative, comprising representatives from organized labour and the state government.
“The Kaduna State Government is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of our civil servants and improving their productivity,” Sani stated, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transformative social welfare policies.
