Tinubu Committed To Addressing Insecurity, Says Defence Minister
1 min readThe Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, has reinforced the government’s commitment to tackling insecurity in Katsina State, stating that President Bola Tinubu “is ready to supply everything” necessary for the military to eliminate banditry.
Speaking to troops at the 17 Brigade in Gurbin Baure, Badaru commended the ongoing military efforts against banditry and acknowledged the progress made over recent months.
“President Tinubu has recognized the improvement in operations,” he said, encouraging the troops to continue their efforts.

Badaru’s visit aimed to assess military strategies and deployment against the rising tide of kidnappings and attacks on major roads, particularly the notorious Zaria-Gusau route.
He expressed satisfaction with the re-strategizing efforts and called for public support in combating the challenges.
Accompanied by military leaders, Badaru emphasized the need for collaboration among all states to enhance security measures across the North-West. “Are you ready to finish them off?” he asked the troops, rallying them for intensified action against banditry.
