Mohammed further explained that Fubara has been “proactive, with an open mind, deploying his democratic instincts and strategies to carefully deliver democratic governance at the local government level, irrespective of party allegiance or consideration.”
The chairman stated that Rivers State is a PDP state, even though newly sworn-in local government chairmen and councillors are from different political parties.
“Fubara, who is the Vice Chairman of the forum, remains an avowed member of the PDP, despite the fact that other parties constitute the body of elected officers at the local government level,” Mohammed added.
The PDP national leadership has scheduled congresses to elect party leaders in various zones, starting from February 22, 2025. The party aims to strengthen its leadership and prepare for future elections.
