EPL: Torres Congratulates Premier League Champions Chelsea
1 min readFormer Chelsea striker, FERNANDO TORRES has taken to Twitter congratulating the club on winning the Premier League.
Torres left Chelsea at the start of the season for AC Milan on loan before signing a permanent deal and subsequently rejoining boyhood side Atletico Madrid.
The Spaniard never won the league during his time in England, having spent three-and-a-half years with Liverpool before moving to Stamford Bridge in January 2011.
However, Torres has shown that he still has some sentimental attachment to the west London outfit, tweeting a picture of his former team-mates celebrating with the caption: “Congratulations to my @ChelseaFC mates. @premierleague Champions!”
A goal from Eden Hazard sealed a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, clinching the Blues’ first title since 2010.
