Coronavirus: Buhari Told To Reduce House Rent, School Fees, Provide Free Sanitary Wares
1 min readPresident Muhammadu Buhari has been advised to compel house owners in the country to slash their rents by 50 percent.
Making the call is a former lawmaker representing Kaduna central senatorial district, Shehu Sani.
The former lawmaker also called on the President to compel public and private school owners to reduce their school fees by 50 percent.
He also advised that lending interest rate for businesses should be slashed, while payment of mortgage should be suspended.
Shehu Sani believes such measures would help reduce the suffering that would accompany the spread of the COVID-19 disease in the country.
In a series of tweets on Thursday, the politician further called on the government to provide free sanitary wares for women and children.
According to him, “What our Govt should do, compel landlords to slash rent by 50%.
“Compel public and Private schools to slash tuition by 50% [and] reduce lending interest rates for businesses to 1%.
“Suspend payment of mortgages
-Provide free sanitary wares and sanitizers to women and children. #CoronaVirusNigeria.”
