DIVORCE SAGA: WIFE SNUBS PASTOR OYAKHILOME’S CONCERT

There seems to be no end in sight to the celebrated marriage collapse between famous televangelist, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the President of Believers’ Love World Inc., popularly known as Christ Embassy, and his wife, Anita.
For the past few months, the once upon a time happy couple have been at daggers drawn, washing their dirty linens publicly and now settling for divorce.
Anita on her side accused her husband of neglect and having inappropriate relationship with some of his female staff members with Pastor Chris on the other hand also claiming that Anita is being influenced against him by her friends. He has alleged that she’s arrogant and not submissive. However, Anita is hell bent on the dissolution of their marriage as she is now in court for divorce.
While the divorce saga has continued to rage on, the Christendom community has been filled with awe seeing how things had degenerated between the supposed models of a perfect marriage. The hope that the two warring part may soon drop their daggers and embrace peace also seems to be elusive as you read going by recent happenings.
Few days ago, Anita was conspicuously absent at the church’s conference organized for pastors and partners of the church at his headquarters in Lagos. Before now, Anita used to be part of such programme, but her absence was said to be deliberate as she is said to have sworn not to have anything doing again with the pastor.
However, Anita’s daughter, Sharon, a fast-rising gospel artiste and the first daughter of the estranged couple was by her father’s side throughout the conference. The 21 years old singer performed her hit track “I’m Excellent” at the conference with her father joining her on stage in rendering the song.
